Hop Nation Brewing Company - Melbourne

Awesome little microbrewery in Footscray. Hard to find down a lane way between warehouses in an industrial area but well worth hunting it down. The American red was their best beer but the sour was a close second. A few wines and ciders also on the menu so why would you go anywhere else?

Caught 220 bus from Queen st, 500m walk thru industrial area! What a find! Great reno of an old warehouse and lots to look at enjoying a tasty beer!

We designed our own uber brewpub tour, and this was the favorite. We didn't have food (the food truck was arriving after our visit) except for chips, but the two story warehouse setting and the beer quality was outstanding. This was the hardest place our schedule to find, but it didn't disappoint.

I was keen to visit this brewery after reading reviews. It didn't let me down - though if I needed to eat I would have been sorely disappointed. Just a few snacks available. Apparently they have been forced to stop their food van service and are looking at an alternative food offering. We came for the beer though - and weren't disappointed. Tried a few - each better than the other (or is that a natural progression?). Very friendly staff - great to chat with the brewer. Hipster decor was minimal and great. Would like to have a closer look at the beer making next time I am down from Queensland.
