Hanabishi Restaurant - Melbourne

Popped into this little joint for a spot of lunch with some work colleagues! It is not the cheapest of places but it is absolute quality! The chairs are comfortable, the menu provides for everyone including Gluten Free. They forgot our drinks but thats ok the sushi roles were awesome the duck was amazing and the shashimi was fresh and delicious ! Would recommend without question. Perfectly located just off Bourke Street.

This fine Japanese restaurant has been around for a long time, doing mainly lunch business; given its King St location The sushi is outstanding. Tried also the wagyu beef & codfish which I found of a good standardService is quietly efficient, and the interiors staid & understated.Prices are high, but you definitely get quality hereRecommended

Really enjoyed the meal along with the service which is outstanding. The place is busy at lunch time during the week which is always a good sign. Prices are too expensive though.

It has been almost 10 years since we first visited this great Japanese restaurant. Our friend Masaiko hasn't worked there since what year, but the welcome is always excellent. The dishes are always well cared for and always manage to surprise with their freshness.

We each had a "Chef's special" sushi--one with 12 pieces and one with 7 pieces. They were excellent! The fish was as fresh as we can ever recall having at a sushi restaurant and the service was excellent. We watched others around us have an assortment of other dishes and they all looked wonderful and were served stylishly. We'll go back.
