Favorite Dumpling & Noodle Restaurant

Very much enjoyed our casual dining experience. Friendly service, good attention and licensed. Nothing posh, but comfortable seating, and a few people dining in to add ambience. Meals priced on average $14 and decent serving size. We enjoyed appetizers of the Shanghai Mini Buns vegetable Spring Rolls which came out with our mains of Seafood Fried Noodles on sizzle plate, Beef Brisket on rice and greens, Hot Spicy Chicken Noodles greens. We were given containers for our excess food which was great, paid a .50c surcharge all good :

The worst meal I have ever had!!! And when I complained, they told me it was my fault and refused to refund me. The worst experience I have ever had had. I recommend you avoid this place.

Restaurant was a quarter full but meal took 30 mins to arrive. Others in the restaurant were observed to wait just as long. Food was fair, and service friendly. Potentially in the process of changing ownership, however I don’t believe this to be the cause of the delay. I observed busy staff filling orders for UBER EATS as well as MENULOG. Deliveries are common with restaurants everywhere, however delivery orders were taking first priority over dine in, which led to a bad dine-in experience. This restaurant also charges a flat $1 merchants fee for credit card transactions.

We ordered chicken pork dumplings and pork and prawn wontons soup with noodles. Honestly...could not even bite the dumplings, they were so over cooked on the bottom and chewy on the top. The filling was tasteless mince. Very very poor. The soup, which we waited about 15 minutes for, was a large serve, the wontons were quite tasty but sadly the soup was extremely watery and totally lacking flavour. Unfortunately, a very disappointing meal. No-one even thought to ask if there was a problem when we put the plate, still with several dumplings on it...to the edge of the table, obviously unwanted! Basically, no-one cared! Will not return!

I recommend booking because the restaurant is very popular and always busy, which is a good sign for diners! The menu selection is extensive and the prices are very reasonable. The meals are authentic Chinese cooking and generous serving sizes. Everything we ate was fresh and tasty. You have to be patient with service due to the popularity of the place. Will definitely go there again!
