Cedar bakery is a prime location to observe the ebb and flow of both culture life of the norther suburbs.
I have lived near a1 for most of my life in melbourne, so I think I'm always loyal to them when it comes to Lebanese bakery. now I have moved around the corner of cedar, I am still happy to get in the position to get fresh, tasty bread tasty near. the first thing I tried was a whole mixed veggie package. the whole grain bread is a bit dry, I would stick to white. the filling in this was a bit dirty for me. mostly soft, muddy kartoffels with some carrots, exalted and a very mild curry aroma. the last spinach triangles I had bought had juicy filling, but the dough was not completely boiled on the inside, unfortunately probably due to the additional moisture from the spinach. my favourite items were so far the zetar with fresh vegetables (soft fluffy brot, with delicate spicy thick and loaded with sharp fresh vegetables) and the creamy, garlic full medames served with thin, chewing pitta, fresh vegetables and olives. coffee is reliable with a lot of herbal mylk options and service from most young workers is friendly and efficient.
I have been coming here for years and love that they cater so well for vegans. Yummy food, a local favourite.
Nice vegan pastries. That is what I like most about this place. Bready but there are a few choices for vegans. Staff are helpful.
