Bobbie peels - Melbourne

We love popping in here. The food and service are always great and in a City that is losing so many of its old pubs, Bobbie Peels is always a pleasure. Do yourself a favour and drop in here for a cold beer and a nice meal.

Staff were friendly and efficient.The steak special got us as well. Good meat cooked nicely but a little more char would be perfect. The salad was simple and had a nice dressing but the "String Chips" spoilt a good meal.We had to try the Creme Brulle as well. Totally decadent but lovely.

Heading home from the tennis all day and found this gem. It is a basic pub and on the night we went had good atmosphere with an accommodating local crowd. On recommendation I had the rib special. Awesome ribs that flaked off the bone - served with fries (felt like it needed a salad to cut through the pork) but I was impressed. Staff were super friendly, helpful and went out if their way for us. Recommend for a pub meal - the quiet local one!

The $15 steak special on Tuesday is both tasty and very good value. Also tried steak on a Thursday when it was much more expensive and did not taste quite so good. Anyway the nice thing about this pub, as mentioned by others, is that the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere good. If you are near Victoria market or North Melbourne this is a place to visit. In addition they have some nice beers.
