Blue Tongue Wine Bar - Melbourne

Had a great long lunch here last Sunday. Started with beautifully fresh shucked oysters then chicken liver parfait. Followed by a charcuterie plate and spaghetti vongole and a roast duck all shared between four of us.Food was superb and wines very good. Service great and attentive. We will be back again for a steak.

Great place to call in for a drink (or 2)! Service is super friendly and seating can be street side, inside or courtyard. Oysters and tomato salad were delish. Steak panini was also tasty and good value. If you are local make this your go to place.

Blue tongue has a great vibe about it. We hadn't been since it re-opened about a year ago. It's better than ever and the head chef is rightly very pleased with his offerings.We shared a few small plates including heirloom radish, and a crab meat delicacy service on chicken crackling. Too good! Then, grilled butterflied prawns served to perfection.It's fine restaurant food in a wine bar atmosphere. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff topped off a fine evening.

We stopped in one Saturday afternoon with friends , and spent a very pleasant 3 hrs there.Great dishes to share, and a good wine selection. Had some great beers, very refreshing in the first sunny day of spring.(Thanks for that Melbourne!)Staff were very busy, but still able to serve you. (Which is always a bonus)Nice atmosphere, not super cheap but prices were acceptable.We will be back ......

Friendly wine bar in Elwood. Great selection of wines and beers. Seating inside and comfortable outside too, for the locals that bring their dogs (and cats) out to socialise
