A solid offering, but nothing made Urban Deli's EB stand out for me. Symptomatic I think of the fact that this venue is a fast paced restaurant catering for the take-away crowd. My only other comment was the choice of artwork on the wall. I couldn't stop staring at this nipple. Totally not my fault right?
Coff-oasis in the AM. Not only was Urban Deli open early enough to suit me (6:30 a.m. they also made me a good flat white. I was aiming for some pre-work brain-stim from Church of the Secular Coffee in the trendy Rue precinct on Collins. They're keeping tourist hours, not worker's hours, so they weren't coffing it up when I rolled up. I had to tramp the dark streets searching for somewhere else. I happy that Urban Deli was lit up then. Pie Face and a Chinese place are open then too, but Urban Deli was better than either. It's got a goodly number of pastries, a big sanger works and enough seating for the front office. Maybe I'll come back sometime when it's not just me and the gigantic fruit bats out at that hour.
Great coffee and friendly service. I love the coffee here and the staff are friendly, smile and take the time to look after you. So glad I work nearby!
BEST COFFEE IN MELBOURNE. I drink 5 coffees a day and this place was recommended to me by a friend who visits regularly. I was not disappointed. Dont be put off by the long line, it was really busy. I was served and had my coffee in no time at all. The staff are really nice and the girls behind the counter are eye candy (if you like that sort of thing). I had a toasted sandwich and it was big for the price. When in that end of the city I will definitely be back!!
