We are so glad we finally decided to stop here on our way into town on Wednesday! We enjoyed a late lunch on the patio, and our server, a retired teacher whose name we didn’t catch, was fantastic. My husband ordered the Cheshire Pork Chop and declared it the best he’s ever had. The butter beans are a must-try! I opted for tacos made with locally sourced corn tortillas, and they were delicious. I couldn't choose between shrimp and flounder, so I ended up with both. The flounder was great, but the local shrimp was exceptionally sweet, so next time I’ll stick with two shrimp. My husband finished with banana pudding, giving it a solid 9, and he even got an extra one to-go. We might have to stop back before we leave, and it will definitely become a regular spot for us whenever we’re in the area! Thank you for the wonderful service and meal! This is a lovely spot for lunch, whether you're heading to the beach or coming back from it. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the food is delicious. The restaurant has a cozy and charming atmosphere. I highly recommend dining here!

Charming little restaurant with a rich family history. The seafood dishes are fresh and delicious, and the chalk and crawl dive is a must-try!

Instead of the Low Country Boil, we received boiled shrimp. We waited a long time for her to return so we could question our meal, but she never came back—no refills and no check-ins about how our meal was going. To make things worse, there were flies buzzing around us. When my husband went inside to pay the bill, I went to the restroom and asked a different waitress about the Low Country Boil. She explained that it comes with potatoes, corn, sausage, and shrimp, which I already knew, but I pointed out that we only received shrimp. I eventually spoke to the manager, who is also the owner, and she gave us a to-go order of the Low Country Boil as compensation. However, it was a huge letdown with just one piece of corn, five shrimp, five pieces of sausage, and a quarter of a potato. Overall, we were very disappointed and won’t be returning.
