Hidden Pearl Cafe - McHenry

I would give Hidden Pearl a 10-star review if I could. The coffee and sandwiches were fantastic. Thank you for a great experience! I wish I could rate it a 15-star review. It's the best coffee and food we've had at a coffee house in a long time.

I have visited this restaurant twice at the times when they were supposed to be open. The first time, the door was open and lights were on, but there was no one near the front to assist us. My group waited for 10 minutes without seeing any staff members. It was concerning to see the shop open to the public but not staffed in the front area. The second time, despite the website and Google saying they were open, the shop was completely closed. I believe this place has potential as it is very cute inside, but I have not had any luck with service during my visits.

I stopped in for an afternoon latte and the girl at the register was not friendly at all. Didn't seem to want to be there. Gave 3 stars because the Samoa latte was pretty good. Experience 1 star, quality of food 5 stars.

Friendly staff and a great, easy place to have business meetings. Plenty of seating area and a separate large room from where you order coffee. Coffee is very good and not nearly as expensive as Starbucks.
