Baudin's - MCCRACKEN

Da mccracken’s two restaurants, a bistro and restaurant has, I have my review on the mccraken’s restaurant page, but then found this page for baudin’s, which is the name of their restaurants. So now I think the side was meant for the bistro. but I'm insecure. the first review I wrote is on the side of the restaurant, but it was intended for our meal at baudin’s. we enjoyed our dinner, with friendly and helpful service of megan. my menu choice was not asked with a fuss and my man and I found both our meals tasty and fill and enjoyed the landscape, with views of the golf course, with a wide view to the nearby hills. a beautiful meal and we would be happy to visit again.

We were searching for a nice dining experience, not just a pub meal, and decided to try Baudins Restaurant at McCracken. Unfortunately, we found the restaurant to be very quiet and dull. The staff was friendly, but the atmosphere and setting felt more like a conference room. We should have opted for the bistro instead, as the menu we received was more suited for casual dining. The food we ordered was mediocre bistro fare, served without side plates for soup and the drinks were warm and served slowly. If it weren't for the lovely waitress, our experience would have been a disaster.

I enjoyed a delicious warm chicken salad with three large, juicy fried chicken pieces, a fried egg, and assorted fermented vegetables on a bed of mixed greens with a tasty dressing. It was fantastic!

A large group of us had dinner on a friday night in the restaurant, which but for us, was mainly empty. We were seated at a long narrow table which was not good for conversation. The food was very ordinary. In fact mine was almost...cold and very uninteresting. It sounded good on the menu but did not translate. I really think this venue needs to improve its food. We used to eat there quite a bit but the food was never very good. It has such a beautiful view from the restaurant and such a lovely golf course more should be made of it. I would be reluctant to go there again. However the serving staff were very good.

My wife and I made a reservation for dinner at Baudin's via phone at 5:30 in the morning for an evening meal. We arrived early to explore the surroundings and have a drink at the bar before our romantic dinner. At 5:30, we went to the restaurant only to find out that they were not open until 6 o'clock. The hostess directed us to the bar, where we were told that the same menu was available but did not mention that our reservation had been transferred there. We ended up waiting until 6 o'clock and then returned to the restaurant for our dinner. The waiter then informed us that there was no booking under our name and that we should have gone to the bar. Despite the confusion, the waiter managed to seat us in the restaurant, although not by the window as we had hoped. To make matters worse, we found that the food at the restaurant was of subpar quality. The floors were dirty from a previous event, not what we would expect from a high-end restaurant. While the staff was friendly, the overall experience was not what we had anticipated. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Baudin's. We recommend trying it yourself to see if it meets your expectations.
