Palenque Grill Edinburg - McAllen

I'm from the city. I'm stopped for dinner because they serve a warm salsa. ordered the elotes from the appetizer. it was so good! a beautiful smell of flavor and full taste. my sister has her cocks and the flesh was amazing! 10/10 server was sweet and fast. I would come back if I lived in town.

I really like the atmosphere and the food here is super good. My only problem was with the waiter who waited my table. Wasn’t very attentive, and rarely came to check on us. Overall, I will return and I do recommend this restaurant.

Had lunch on a Thursday, waited forty five minutes before I could flag a server down to take our order. Ordered fajita tacos with corn tortillas and fideo. Each taco was wrapped individually with foil paper. While the fajitas were good and tender, they were served cold. Not impressed.

Service was good. I was there with a large group to celebrate a birthday. They set us up in a private room and assigned adequate waitstaff to tend to us. They made sure our drinks were continously refilled and didn't mess up any of the orders. The food however was not great, plain and tasteless. The price didn't match the portion or quality of the food.

The place is really nice; nice atmosphere. The food is overpriced mexican food. Ordered Green enchiladas...the meat was kinda dry. Wife ordered tacos de trompo, meat kinda dry and onion barely sauteed (too raw). I ordered a $3.99 classic margarita (price on table) and was charged $6. Service was not as it should be...no follow up after meal is served. Sorry, but I called it for what it is. I really want this place to succeed, but food and service must be better and prices adjusted to type of food. Good luck!!
