La Mexicana Carniceria Y Taqueria

This is my go to place for breakfast everything is always fresh and cut up in front of me and the tacos rolled out before my eyes. Takes me back to childhood I would definitely go here if you wanna taste of home :

Love the food and the old Mexican restaurant look. Revives me of when o was young and going with my oysters to eat out.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Or family wanted authentic Mexican comida típica. Most people consider the Tex Mex traditional and I guess it is for South Texas. But we wanted Mexican Mexican. Here we found not only traditional deep in the heart of Mexico comida típica but quite possibly the best tacos we've ever had. The asada and barbacoa were incredible. And the people were super friendly and accommodating. We were thrilled to find this place!

Dad wanted barbacoa, they were the only one I thought might have it and sure enough, they did. We'll be going to have menudo this weekend.
