Mexico - Maungakiekie-Tamaki

Mexico is great for when you're craving tacos and quesadillas. I'm not great with spice, so I usually gravitate towards their crisp piping hot quesadillas. I also find the portions very generous and filling, and usually they have some interesting combinations of flavours.<br/ <br/ This time I had a go with the soft shell tacos and they were delicious and not too spicy for me. The pan fried fish was pungent with capers and sauce gribiche, but the bacon added a meaty element to the flavours. The pork was my favourite though, with pineapple and green tomato. It was a refreshing follow-up to the taco.<br/ <br/ I love their house sodas as well. My new favourite is probably the watermelon and hibiscus now. It comes out with a beautiful almost blackcurrant colour, but you can really smell the hibiscus straight away. When you ship though, it's overwhelmingly watermelon and slightly sweet. Delicious.

Came here for lunch, ordered the prawn taco and fried chicken. Overall the tacos were quite nice and fried chicken was tasty. But small but good if you dont want a heavy lunch. Food was quick and service was good.

Had a pleasant time at Mexico with my friends. It was the first time eating at this restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed. We managed to order from the lunch specials menu (degustacion, two tacos and pork belly burger). Their fried chicken is very nice and has a little spice to it. Although my friend is not a fan of spicy foods, she enjoyed the pork belly burger. What is really interesting is their sofa drinks! Each of us had a different flavour which was absolutely lovely. The staff were wonderful, giving great tips on what we should have and were timely in giving us our food.<br/ <br/ 10/10 would recommend. <br/ <br/ PS: I would advise getting two tacos if you are hungry.

We just walked in for dinner on a Saturday night, no booking, put our name on the waiting list and go shopping..... very convenient just like in Asia, then received their call a table is ready.Been here for lunch before, already impressed by the food and services, especially the environment; this time not disappointed at all, extremely friendly staffs make you feel welcome, food is delicious, this restaurant is always on my list.

Went in for an impromptu lunch today with a friend.Aesthetically the place is so cute with some very good vibes. I had the lamb quesadilla and a watermelon and cherry soda (every quesadilla comes with a complimentary soda). They were DELISH and actually quite filling. My friend had the pork spark ribs and potato gravas which were also delicious.I definitely recommend the dishes we tried and I'm looking forward to coming in to try more as well as the cocktails.
