And the poched pear at the end was a nice recommendation from them, sweet and spiced with spelt and more. I am happy to come back with friends so I can order a course (in dinner courses are offered for two or more and I was fed by myself at night). Come here for a delicious meal in a beautiful atmosphere. But be ready to spend some time as the food needs some time to cook and prepare. My only little criticism is that I don't care much for the homemade bread they serve. It was very soft, without much gluten development, so there was very little "shake". But overall everything was great.
It needs a confident cook to have an open kitchen with a counter, especially in such a small restaurant. Everything must be immaculate, and the whole preparation of food is barbarized to critics, and with everything that has said it was a pleasure to sit on the counter and observe the cook in action. My girlfriend and I originally chose the lunch course with a single starter, but after sampling the delicious cold starters, we asked if it would be possible to update to the full lunch course, so that we could have a hot starter in addition to the original pasta dishes, main and dessert. In all honesty, the food was equally excellent from homemade foccacia to desserts. If I had to choose the highlights of the course, I would lean towards the cold starter, both the pasta dishes and the seabow. In addition to the great food, I should also mention the great service of Nori-san. She explained to us each of the dishes in detail how she served them, and helped me in English when my Japanese weren't on the job, and was happy to chat with us and the other customers in the restaurant. The love that Chef Masa and Nori-san have for their restaurant, their customers and the excellent food they serve is easy to see and this welcoming atmosphere is the icing on the cake of a wonderful culinary experience. Despite visiting Matsumoto to see its beautiful castle, the highlight of my trip was lunch in Cucina Masanoli, and I certainly plan to eat a return trip there again. If you are visiting Matsumoto and want to eat high-quality food (that you find a hard time even in Tokyo), then I strongly recommend eating here. What we ate: Homemade Foccacia Coldstarter Sweet potato gratin Caponata (Sicilian ratatouille) Hiratake mushrooms roasted tuna, served on an ice-plant leaf with Balsamico vinegar coppa (dry pork roast) Hot starter Aranchini Fried mozzarella Pasta Scallops and Mizuna with cream
We had amazing and very authentic pasta here, the best Italian place I visited in Japan. And the attention was very friendly and friendly. I'll be back to Matsumoto.
The married couple is really nice and kind, and they enjoy cooking and talking with their customers. The chef makes most of the things by himself including ice cream, jam, and sausage. Also, the wife (she is a sommelier chooses a well-matched wine for your dishes. The cost isn't too expensive, but you can experience an unforgettable time in Matsumoto :
We found a Sicilian Italian restaurant in Matsumoto. You can taste real Italian cuisine in rural town. The owner chef Masa his wife Noriko runs the restaurant since July 2016. The Sicilian Desserts house made Gelato are fantastic. The dishes are very authentic Sicily. Try to change. There is a selection of Sicilian wines. Lunch is good.
