Piadì - Matera

Excellent piadina, freshly made, good flavor and good consistency. Extensive menu which also includes watercress and many filling possibilities. The service is relatively fast. The gentleman who takes the orders is a bit confusing and gets lost in the chatter, but luckily the guys in the kitchen are attentive and prepare the right thing for you. The place seems very small, but you can also eat inside and it has a bathroom. Nearby there is a corner with an appreciable view of the Sassi. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options possible.

I stumbled upon it by chance, but I was super satisfied! It is located in a central area, everything is done at the moment but the service is fast, thanks also to the friendliness of the owner who entertained us with some stories and explanations. We tried the watercress which we had never seen, they are closed piadinas therefore cooked with the filling inside and we liked both very much, the dough is very good and light. Plus it can be considered a fast food to eat while walking like we did. The location inside is small and without too many pretensions, but in summer it is certainly very nice outdoors. The prices are not high and there is a lot of variety even for me as I am a vegetarian. Nice find, I will definitely be back!
