Yoshi Sushi Martinsville

Mainly seem to be doing take out business but we sat down for dinner and the sushi was amazing. Its BYOB as well so extremely affordable. They have a spicy scallop roll which ive never had before and it was great. Must try. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

I've heard so many wonderful things about this restaurant, but I was disappointed. I've had better sushi at Aikou in Warren. Since I’m pregnant, I can only eat cooked or vegetable sushi, so I ordered the California roll and shrimp tempura roll (which are exactly what I typically get from Aikou) as a takeout order. Perhaps it’s prepared better when you dine in, but both the presentation and flavor were just okay, and the rolls were smaller. They reminded me a bit of supermarket sushi. I found Aikou to be much fresher, and I got more value for my money. My husband ordered the chicken yakimeshi, which was bland, and the chicken tasted boiled. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I ordered the spicy shrimp roll, and I found a hard shrimp tail in it. I usually love this place, so this was quite disappointing. For the owner’s response: I want to clarify that I ordered the spicy shrimp roll, not shrimp tempura, which, as we know, does have tails. However, I’ve ordered this spicy shrimp roll many times before, and I have never encountered a tail in it.
