Charcoal Venice - Marina del Rey

It didn't quite meet my expectations. The bar service has never been very welcoming. I've visited a few times to see if it might just be a one-off experience, but each time I've had to wait a long time just to be acknowledged. While the food is good, the overall experience is lacking due to the poor service. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The service was commendable, with attentive staff who made sure our needs were met throughout the meal. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was enjoyable, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made the dining experience pleasant.

Excellent, flavorful, thoughtful and perfectly cooked meats and veggies. Definitely have the duck, you'll be thinking about it for days after! Service was top notch as well. The chef, Dani, came out and made sure we were enjoying our food. All around incredible dining experience! Can't wait to come back.

The food was excellent, though I found it a bit on the salty side—I ended up quite thirsty when I got home and woke up with a dry mouth. I highly recommend the steak and the tuna tartare. However, we weren't fans of the mushroom tartare and couldn’t finish it. The Bibb salad was decent, and the arugula with peach was definitely worth trying. The shishito peppers didn't stand out at all. The ambiance was rather uninteresting; I’m not keen on paying these prices just to sit and watch TV. We dined early, but the place was still crowded and quite loud. We would consider going back, perhaps on a weeknight when it's less busy.
