Ebby's North - Mantoloking

Food 5 Stars (we had the specials) Service 4 Stars Friendly Staff 5 Stars Ambience More of a pub atmosphere in the main dining room area with a very large bar with TV screens to view sporting events. When we were there they had a band (not sure of this is the norm) and they were VERY VERY LOUD. So loud that you couldn't have a conversation with your dinner party. Yes we were eating dinner late but we weren't the only ones eating dinner at that time. When we were leaving we noticed they had a back dining room area with doors to shut out the music and sports enthusiast noise. All and all we will be going back but we will make sure to get the back room especially if there's a big sporting event on or they are have a band. Give it a try...

Terrible service, we were without our food for two hours, we had to ask for silver wear four times before we had any. Bathrooms were a mess resembling a porta potty at a rock concert. People there including managers, waitresses, bus boys, and just ignorant jersey commonwealth were snobby, lazy, and disrespectful. We were rushed out of our seats because of a live performance, and had to hear people complain even though the hostess sat us at the table. When the ignorant people who inhabit this bar were asking managers why we were still there they claimed that we were taking our time when really the food took 2 hours to make. The loud, dirty, men throwing up in the bathroom environment could not in any way make up for the mediocre cuisine. I do not recommend this establishment to anybody.

Sadly, feel like this restaurant has really gone downhill since I wrote my original review about 4 years ago. They have changed their menu and took the three dishes I loved the most off. Bring back the stuffed long hits, vinegar chicken and wings scarpariello. The servers seem to not care these days. I really love this place so I hope they read this and realize they should try harder.

Restaurant was full of flies, forgot our appetizer fish was not great! Servers were sweet.

This is the second time my friend and I have eaten here, and both have been GREAT. The Clas Ebby are to die for and I love the Ebby salad. Their entrees are also unique and delicious. Both times we have been too full for dessert but I am sure they are good too. Very friendly and helpful servers both times. We will be back again and again whenever I n the area.
