The Southside Smokehouse - Lakewood

Fantastic restaurant! I tried their smoked brisket once, and it was incredible! While I can't indulge in all the delicious options they offer, the pastrami sandwich was excellent, and they serve the best house fries in Lakewood. Additionally, the woodwork was beautifully done by Joseph Kushner and Co.—a truly professional job! Great work, everyone! The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Service: Dine-in.

This place was absolutely on point! I highly recommend trying the secret menu item, the meat lovers platter! It features a fantastic assortment of various meats, including smoked lamb riblets, sausages, bourbon baked beans, brisket, pastrami, pulled beef, and more. Everything was cooked to perfection. As a true BBQ enthusiast, I can confidently say that this place knows exactly what they’re doing. You won't even miss the pork ribs if you keep kosher. It's incredibly delicious!

We really enjoyed the atmosphere! Although everything was a bit on the expensive side, I would definitely order the pastrami again. It was juicy and fatty, just as it should be, with a thick, crunchy crust. The brisket was tasty but a bit dry, so I probably wouldn’t order it again given the price. The coleslaw was delicious and paired perfectly with the pastrami. We will definitely return if we’re in the area again.
