I had a room booked. The manager was rude. We had the room booked for the room with the balcony and it flooded before we got there. They moved us to another room without telling us. We went to cancel this because that wasn’t the room we booked. She hung up on us! We used to stay there a lot. This manager lost our business.
We booked three nights but had to leave after night one. They said they would credit us for night three. We followed up on the credit three times in the following week with promises but no results. If you're going to take advantage of me, just tell me up front to save time. This motel is run down and in need of renovation. It's a shame since it's such a great location. Also, the front office is not staffed so good luck with the grab n go breakfast or any needed assistance. My advice is to keep your expectations very low. If you have high standards, it's best to avoid this place.
I hope the owners of this hotel read this and become aware of howtheir staff is undermining their business (see photos). New guests should also be informed of what to expect. The location is excellent, close to everything. Last year, the servicewas also good; however, this year, it was practically non-existent.During our 4-day stay, there was no room service whatsoever. There was no cleaning, no replenishment of towels, and no addition of soap or shampoo. The reception office door remained locked for most of the day. On the first morning, the lady at the reception appeared at 8:10 and began preparing breakfast while we and other guests waited outside for her to finish. The following two mornings, there was absolutely no breakfast provided – no coffee, no hot water, just a single banana and a small amount of orange juice in a bottle in the fridge. And it's not like we were late; this was right at the beginning of breakfast: either the door was completely locked, or it was open but there was no staff, and no food. The reception area floor was so dirty that it looked as if a herd of horses had trodden through with muddy hooves. Yes, there had been a heavy rain two days prior, but no one bothered to clean the area in front of the entrance, causing all the dirt to be tracked inside. The floor remaineduncleaned throughout our entire stay.By the way, there was no hairdryer in the room either, and there were no facial tissues or any other paper napkins available.Aug.2023.
If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but I 'd rather round up. It was an amazing location 30 yards away from the main strip and 20 yards from a bus stop so it was super easy to get anywhere. The beds were comfortable and the pillows actually had some girth to them! The sheets were SOFT.In the 2 days 3 nights we were there no one came and cleaned, took out trash, left us more soap. There was no facial tissue. The soaps were TINY. 2 people, 2 showers, soap was gone. I made sure to ask about a hairdryer, so there was one in my room, but not my mother 's.It seems like there is one owner manager (not sure which) and she was kind and helpful...when she was in the office. She was hard to get a hold of otherwise, and she was at the main desk from about 8-10 am, and then from about 4-8 pm. She was running errands or cleaning other times and was difficult to reach. My suite and the suite next to ours had a king in the main room, and a queen in a side room with a fridge and a microwave. The side room had no ventilation from the main room with the door closed, so it didn 't get much AC. Normally it probably isn 't a problem, but the temperatures were in the lower 90 's so it was rather warm. The breakfast was pre-packaged pastries and apples. Okay for me, but not good for my gluten free husband.Garden Of the Gods, the Cog Railroad, the Incline, and Cave of the Winds were within 5-15 min by either bus or car. Parking for the Cog and the Incline is VERY limited taking the bus is recommended.Overall, the price was good and I 'd stay there again.
