Taco Vengo - Mandaluyong

Who says tacos are made for Tuesdays when they can order it every day. it is a modern taqueria, which serves Mexican favorites, among them burittos, rice bowls and quesadilla true to its name, it is a hearty bite of taco for which they definitely come. the pork cheek confit (P108) and shrimp taco (P138) ordered.

Had to workload and the woman helped me well and also offered me to use their Wi-Fi. I had the cajun chicken soft shell taco. it was good that they know how to diffuse from the rest.

Late late post (still tending my reviews backlog here on Zomato ; Thanks to their ₱28 a taco promo last March (as part of their formal launch at Mega), I was able to try what Taco Vengo's tacos tasted like My date and I ordered the Pork Cheek Confit and the Honey Soy Chicken. My taco had an interesting contrasting textures in particular the crispiness of the fried pork cheek and the gelatinous, melts-in-your-mouth fat underneath it, and the crunchiness of the chicharon topping. Wanted to try something new for lunch when I chanced upon this resto. It's just too bad that both my original orders weren't available so I opted for the Honey Soy Chicken with Cauli Rice substitution. It looked like a breakfast meal with chicken that tasted like tocino, sunny side egg, slaw, and the cauli fries rice. The meal was okay. I tasted the chili more that the food itself. A tip when ordering the rice bowls place it on top of a table napkin as the bowls keep turning when you eat. Tiny taco packs a flavorful punch alright, but was it worth a hundred bucks? No The pork cheek confit was a surprising sisig twist to tacos but I wish there was more of it. The honey soy chicken rice bowl was flavorful, too, but not worth its price.
