We were away from the other customers but the staff kept checking from us. They even gave us a free lava cake for Father's Day!The food was good (Chicken salpicao, pochero). Nothing spectacular but good. The bread and liver spread and the lava cake were the best parts of the meal.(Parking can be a problem. Expect to walk a bit)
Nice place, warm and homey feel. simple no fuss food. :) lovely pate and biscuit. i could go there everyday for my meal. I'm excited for the dessert though.
The food has gone from very good in the past to very disappointing. Pinakbet rice with lechon kawali used to have huge chunks of vegetables now it's diminished to nothing. Everything we ordered today was not like it was before . I definitely will not go back anymore . They should have maintained the quality of their food which we customers were going there for EXCELLENT HOME COOKED one of a kind dishes that they started . BAD
Just saw this restaurant serving breakfast at around 7am and decided to try it. My husband and I ordered spicy sardines in olive oil and crispy adobo flakes with adobo rice. The sardines which came with rice was really good. The adobo flakes was nothing special though. It came with a hard boiled egg with some sort of tomato dressing. Both meals came with either coffee or juice. We both ordered coffee which was really good and had a free refill. Prices are a bit high here. We also got to buy some interesting food items in their store by the entrance.
I've been here a few times before with friends and although I'm not a huge fan of their food I do remember it's always been good and quality is high. Today was quite a rainy day and traffic brought us to this restaurant and were glad to find parking. First thing that struck us is how expensive their prices seem to be now. We ordered the Honey Garlic Spareribs with XO fried rice, Wagyu beef and mushroom salpicao, and garlic rice. We were served complimentary Melba toast with chicken pâté which was quite good. The wagyu salpicao and garlic rice came next and to be honest the beef, although tender, is not wagyu tender. It must be a low grade wagyu beef. The honey garlic spareribs with XO rice came next. The spareribs is quite crunchy but the honey is thick and has almost solidified, and the XO rice is quite dry. We were planning to have dessert but since they were already closing we decided to pack it up instead. My friend ordered the Strawberry Shortcake and I had the Sunburst Lemon Cake. We asked for the bill and was quite surprised that the cake slices were P238 each! Quite expensive for a sponge cake. I had the Lemon cake at home which was nice and tarty but not worth the price. Total bill for the night was P1,542 for 2 people which seems excessive for what we had.
