We ordered veg soup, turned out to be watery beetroot which tasted like pond water. I’m a beetroot fan but this was Inedible. Coffee was ok. Why can’t they do better in such an important venue?
Beautifully designed café with the winter sun streaming in as I arrived. Friendly welcome and a fairly appealing menu. All boded well. However... the food was highly processed rubbish and quite an insult given the price and what one would normally be served in a museum or art gallery. Greasy spoons do a better job, frankly. One of the servers was also shockingly rude. Music inappropriate and sound system cheap and tinny better to do without. So much potential yet so sad the management appears to have very little clue about hospitality.
Waited 40 min for a bagel. Everyone was waiting about 30 mins plus for food. The service is slow and disorganised. The food is average, prices quite high. You queue, pay then wait indefinitely. Manager seemed unconcerned and defensive.
A great place and a lovely space. Food excellent was a little slow but it was lunchtime and the staff told us how long it might take so we could make a decision to stay or not. We stayed of course and it was super very tasty
We would have loved to have had a cup of tea in this space, overlooking the park, but although the gallery doesn't close until 5pm, the cafe closes at 4pm so we were 5 minutes too late. Please reconsider your opening hours, and serve at least until 4:30pm!
