This is the best example of a 'Chinese chippy'. a glorious northern institution. they are the endless possibilities that inspire me. mix hollands cake with salt and pepper chips..or a mixed meat cure with sausage starter. superb. it does solid chippy tea and good Chinese food. if you want to stick to genres. but why are you doing this?

I absolutely love this place! Located in Castlefield Hulme, this Chinese takeout serves the best Chinese food I've had in a long time—it has definitely taken the top spot! The food was incredibly delicious and served piping hot. Plus, it's quite affordable, and the portion sizes are more than generous! I plan to visit them more frequently in the future. I highly recommend trying the special roasted rice!

The menu itself might look a bit grimy, which isn’t ideal, but the food more than makes up for it. The standout feature of Gordon's Kitchen is the fantastic taste of their dishes, which are absolutely amazing. And the prices? Unbelievably cheap! Main dishes range from just £4.40 to £5, even for king prawn options. What’s more, there's no need to purchase rice separately, as each dish comes with either boiled rice or chips. For only an additional 40p, you can upgrade to fried rice, 60p for chow mein, or £1 for udon noodles. The starters are also incredibly affordable, with standard items like spring rolls priced at £2, while more elaborate selections reach up to a modest £2.50. I always order the pork siu mai and dumplings, which are as good as those at high-end dim sum restaurants. If you're looking to spice things up, I'd recommend the chilli garlic sauce for your meat; just be warned—it's much spicier than what I've experienced at other Chinese places. If you prefer something milder, the onion sauce is a great alternative, delivering similar flavors without the extreme heat. And don't overlook the portion sizes—they’re massive and more than enough to satisfy even the hungriest of appetites. Although I live nearby, their delivery is impressively fast, and unlike other takeaways, they don’t seem to panic when delivering to an apartment block. In summary, Gordon's Kitchen is a gem for anyone craving delicious Chinese takeout at a great price, with speedy service to boot!

I think this restaurant is as good as red chilli. I called for delivery and she recommended a subtitled court of bark meat, huh and garnel. I'm sorry I forgot his English name, but that was very tasty and her driver is really nice. I ran out of cash, and he waited to find me one for a cash machine.

That guy Tim O? He's my brother and he knows his ****. No messing with pretense, he just likes what he likes. In fact he likes this chippy so much that he invited round to his house for dinner just to try it. We grew up embracing chippy food and my god we are not easily fooled. Example: that Atlantic Chippy in Chorlton with the big queue and the big reputation? DRY. The food is insipid. This place however, wins, because it just does what it does, humbley and awesomely well. Go there.
