Ginger's Comfort Emporium - Manchester

Hidden away in a corner of Afflecks is an absolute treasure. They only have a limited choice of vegan ice creams but I would attempt to eat them all if there was more. The milkshakes are simply the best I have found since I have been vegan and I have been looking long and hard. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area. Limited space but a lovely retro feel.

I went on my birthday and it was honestly not a great day overall but the ice cream cheered me up a fair bit so there you are. I had the strawberry flavour and it tasted exactly how I remember dairy ice cream tasting, with the same mouthfeel.

You will not find better vegan nice cream in Manchester City Centre

Service was warm friendly and the blackberry mint sorbet was really nice • it was obviously made with fresh ingredients, and served as a dreamy reminder of summer on a cold, January day! My boyfriend wasn 't terribly impressed with the vegan Chorlton Crack , which he said only tasted like peanut butter (he 'd been hoping that more of the salted caramel would come through), but he finished every last bite we both enjoyed our visit! • I 've left off 1 star as the space itself felt a little bit dirty/in need of care.

Not actually a vegans paradise. Most options contain dairy and the vegan options are pretty basic like a simple chocolate ice-cream or a sorbet. They also had a vegan brownie which wasn’t really worth its calories. But the staff is well informed and friendly and the prices are ok so if you happen to be at Afflecks it’s fine to stop for a coffee.
