Good size, but quite expensive. batter was not completely boiled to places and overdone in other chips were delicious and not too fatty the curry sauce was as good as the recommended! I wish I had only gone for chips and curry sauce, I would have left happier and with a much heavier purse!

No idea why this place is so high. fish was decidedly cut with soggy batter on the bottom. chips were in order, but muddy peas were an extra and it was quite expensive overall. it became one of the top 30 fish and chip restaurants in Britain. I don't think so.

Now when we first came to the chippy, we met with unpleasant employees who were not very helpful and could not even me the prices of the items on the menu that I wanted to order. more 2 customers went to us in about five minutes and rectified food there before the annoying waiter even took our orders. he was useless, he was unpleasant and not very nice to be close, didn't even offer me my drink with my food deal. eating was okay, but I wouldn't rate it over a 5 out of 10. when we got the bill, we were shocked to find that they tried to calculate us for an order of chips that we were not even ordered or given and I was charged £ 1.50 only for engraving on my chips...more

Finally a quality shaving in didsbury village. good food, great value especially the credit crunch lunch) and very friendly. great to sit or take away.

Fosters is undoubtedly quality, although I don’t suppose they, or any other chippy for that matter is likely to win a Michelin star anytime soon… but to my mind they are highly deserving of the many awards and accolades they do have… and I’ll certainly be continuing to make the detour to get what I believe are the best fish and chips in the area!
