The Chop House At The Equinox Resort

We ordered our steaks medium, but they arrived still very rare. I also never received my Diet Coke, but that wasn’t a major issue. During our meal, my wife took the initiative to speak with the hostess or manager in hopes they would address the noise from the bachelorette group, but nothing changed. They did offer complimentary cappuccinos, but that didn’t compensate for an overall disappointing experience.

The food and service were very good, and it’s a great location. However, there were a few service inconsistencies, as the treatment of different tables varied. The main issue, though, wasn’t the food or service—it was a group of ten loud women at the other end of the restaurant. Two tables ended up leaving, and the rest of us were quite unhappy. This really detracted from what could have been a wonderful dining experience.

The food was outstanding, and the service provided by the staff was exceptional.

On the who it really isnt worth trying to go out to a high end type restaurant in this areas. prices are similar to big city dining but the food is ofter pretty average. that was true for chop hoiuse as well. very expensive for pretty small portions. the sides were not very good...bordering on cafeteria dining. steaks are the main dish here but we found them to be small and pretty tough. even my daughter coldnt get through a filet mignon as was tough and fatty. people nice and doing their best but honestly just not worth it

At these prices they should be able to cook a better steak.
