Jitterbugs Ice Cream Cafe - Manassas

It's great to see an ice cream shop in Old Town Manassas. However, after visiting many small towns with local ice cream shops, I found this one to be a bit disappointing. They serve Gifford's ice cream, which anyone who's tried it knows is delicious, and that's likely why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. Unfortunately, the portion sizes are small and the prices are high, which isn't what I would expect from a local establishment like this. The attached photo shows a single scoop on top of the cone, with no ice cream inside the cone itself, and at the time of this review, it costs $4.

I just enjoyed the ice cream and I'm glad they offer a no sugar added option. The price for one scoop is reasonable. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, making for a comfortable dining experience! There’s a great selection of options, all at prices comparable to other places in the area. I tried the sea salt caramel ice cream, and it was absolutely divine—I really loved the chunks in it! I also sampled the chocolate coffee ice cream, and it was delightful. I would definitely return!

Fantastic ice cream! The atmosphere is wonderful and very family-friendly. The staff was super friendly, and the ice cream surpassed our expectations. I know that prices are going up everywhere, but the owner does her best to keep them affordable, which isn't easy! We ended up here because another place we wanted to try was closed, and it turned out to be a great choice. It has a diner vibe reminiscent of the good old days. I highly recommend it to everyone!

This is a lovely restaurant. My only issue was that they used a plastic dropper for the cones. I ended up with a cone that I couldn't dispose of properly. Perhaps they could consider using a biodegradable alternative instead?
