The Barn - Malate

Their ribs is one of the best ribs I've tasted ever. Not that comparable with Ra/ck's ribs becausse their ribs are baby back. For a mature pork, I find their ribs meaty enough.

It is not only an 'inuman' place but also the food is great. Their katsudon and beef kebab is a must try but i think it's not available in the 2nd floor. (1st floor and 3rd floor only) The wicked oreos also 10/10

This place is a bit pricier compared to your usual selections around Taft, but the food is quality and in big servings. The first floor is not air-conditioned so it's pretty dusty and hot, but the steaks are to die for. The T-Bone Steak is a must try. For the 2nd floor, the ambience and vibes are way better because of the low lighting and barn like appearance. The food is more expensive than the 1st floor, but I prefer staying there because it can get rowdy below especially on Happy Thursdays. My go to order is the Beefy Mushroom which is just AMAZING.

The Barn's signature dish-roast chicken, won't leave you disastified. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it. The meat is really soft which makes it really easy to eat and not to mention also flavourful. Their gravy is the perfect match for it and i suggest you ask for an additional gravy because it's just for free. And if you're on a no-rice diet, then you should consider making an exemption for this since there's just something about their rice that you shouldn't miss.

The Barn, whether the one at the first or second floor, will always be my Taft comfort-food source. The serving is generous, although it's a bit expensive unlike those "student-friendly" restaurants near DLSU. Loved the second floor because it's airconditioned unlike the first floor; however, the food from the first floor is cheaper compared to the one upstairs. Nonetheless, both are good! (Mainit lang and malamok sa baba. HEHE.) Undoubtedly one of the restaurants in Taft I love going back to. <3 It gets wild at night tho, especially during Thursdays HAHA.
