The Closet Hippy - MALANDA

Hidden away in the mountains, Incense Heaven is truly a hidden gem. This charming store has quickly become my new favorite spot, and I can't wait to come back to stock up on more goodies.

I meandered all around this beautifully decorated and very interesting shop. I had so much fun reading all about different gem stones and crystals, smelling the huge range of incense and oils. The clothing is lovely so after about an hour of browsing I treated myself to a real chai and relaxed in the beautifully decorated relax room. Totally recommend a visit.

The day of segregation was a disappointing day for us. When we saw a sign outside of The Closet Hippy declaring that all were welcome, my wife and I decided to go in for a coffee to show support for their inclusive decision. However, our excitement was short-lived when the owner (not very politely) informed us that we would have to sit outside because some other customers were already seated nearby. We have been loyal customers, purchasing clothing and trinkets in addition to just getting coffee, throughout the year. The owner should consider taking down the misleading sign that draws in customers, as it will only be effective for a limited time and may lead to more negative experiences.

Interesting, hippie styled shop with lots of “different” goods for sale. The coffee itself was excellent: most cakes sold are gluten free those we had were very good. A small, cosy seating area provides for a limited number of persons at a time.
