Waited 2 hours despite arrival at 6:00 on a weekday. This place is really popular, but I'm not sure if it's worth a long queue. I've only tried it out of curiosity, and I'm not going to kill it for a long time. The crabs were really fresh. Min order is 2 crabs per order, but they have actually allowed us to order a crabble. We had the white sauce crab, fried squid and cheese beehoon.
Was here for lunch and the cheese mee hoon is very nice! Conducive environment and would recommend trying here. Easily expensive for the Mee-Hoon, but serving is generous. The location is good, unlikely to have the traffic jam.
Expect to have to queue up when coming here for dinner. Got in after about 30mins of waiting. Ordered the milk crab which is their signature dish. Buttery and peppery at the same time, crab is a decent size with plump meat. Also had holicks prawn which surprisingly was not bad, somewhat malty flavour.
We used to visit before covid. Now it is fully renovated and air con with upstairs seating. Now high class ambience, but food still good though a little more expensive. But the seafood is still fresh especially the crab. We got a 1.9kg crab, their signature cheesy prawn beehoon, a veg which we found too old and hard and rejected so they didn't charge for it, fried fish and asparagus and scallops. Disappointed they didn't have my favourite grilled squid, will return again. The other negative is corkage fee of RM40! Booking is a must. Hope the new generation can maintain the standard and reasonable prices.
