The Heritage Kitchen Garden - MALABAR

Visited this rustic little cafe with family, while its not really a kid friendly place on the inside because its a tight space it was still relatively comfortable. The food and coffee were very good and the price affordable. There are tables outside to enjoy coffee and a chat in the warm sunshine. Overall a nice place I would go to on a regular basis if i lived in Sydney.

The food and coffee at this place is by far and away the best in all of Malabar. Unfortunately the cafe nearer to the beach is of a very low quality so your best bet is to have a bite up here +/- a take away coffee and stroll down to the beach for a bit of exercise =)

I ran past this place so many times, that I finally decided to try it out. It was a hot Sydney Sunday and the place was not too crowded.We ordered eggs on toast with some avo which was pretty good, but also difficult to get it wrong I guess. Also the berry smoothie went down well.The place has a bit of hipster atmosphere and is quite comfy even for being located on Anzac Parade.The good thing is that it is easy to park here.

I have wanted to try this cafe for some time now. I had looked at the menu and thought the food offered at the very least interesting and different. I went in a few days beforehand to check out the menu as my partner is not as adventurous as me. Phil the manager / owner was helpful even giving me a copy of the menu from a table as they had none to take away normally with an easy offer for me to bring it back when i next came by. This was the same calm attitude when we arrived to eat a few days later. Ge noticed that we hadn't seen the sign about coming to the counter to place our order and simply came over and took it. I had the vegie stack with sides of mushrooms and bacon while my partner had a bacon and egg roll. Hos tea and my coffee were served as ordered which believe or not is rare. A beautiful area around the place is great for a walk with the smell of the ocean and sea views. Well worth a visit.

If you want to sit over a leisurely lunch or crab a superb takeaway coffee this is the place to go. Great variety and always updating and improving menu and decore. Lots of parking too.
