Rumors On The River - Maiden Rock

If you're hungry, don't expect fast service here. Despite not being very crowded, I was surprised to find vegetarian options on the menu. I arrived on a motorcycle, not driving, and requested a Red Bull, but they didn't have any. My boyfriend had a soda and salad, which took a while to arrive. The view of the river was beautiful, with a large train passing by and people camping by the riverfront. It felt like being on the back roads of Idaho, but we were actually in Wisconsin, the cheesehead state. Overall, a unique and enjoyable experience.

I visited Rumors on Saturday, September 10th, 2022. The service was awful and the cheese curds and pizza were terrible. The cheese curds were overcooked and the pizza had raw dough. I would not recommend going here unless major changes are made. It is definitely not like Oles bar, which used to be at this location.

Katie is consistently unfriendly. She often complains about working and lacks culinary skills. She openly admits to not knowing how to cook because she was never trained. Katie is seldom seen behind the bar, instead choosing to spend time smoking outside with customers. Overall, the service she provides is unreliable and questionable.

We stopped for lunch. Had hamburgers and ff. Bartender was very pleasant! She made our food which was very good.

The employees were extremely pleasant, and the food was fantastic. The French onion soup was especially delicious.
