Chickadee Cottage Cafe - Lake City

Today for the first time here! You have a Sunday breakfast all day, which was very good. They come with fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls. Fruit was ripe and the cinnamon rolls were perfect! Just the right amount of spices, not too much frost. I also got an icy chai that was strong and creamy and everything you could wish in a chai tea. Then they bring a dish of all kinds of good stuff fresh fluffy scrambled eggs, thick slices of ham, wild rice sausage (which I was doubtful but thoroughly enjoyed) and cheesy potato hotdish, which was very good. You have a small shop on the entrance, with tons of tea, and tea pots and other chances and ends. It is a very cozy atmosphere without being too crowded. I also managed to get a coconut cream brûlée, although it was on the normal menu for breakfast, the cook was friendly enough to let me try. It was great. Comes with two pieces of pineapple, with coconut grass and whipped cream. It wasn't too big, which is good, because a little is everything you need. Although it is an hour away from my house, I plan to visit more! It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning!

A small gift shop/restaurant. Great food and the people who work there were very funny! The little gifts were so cool that I bought a bird and Karen bought a chickpea cup. Tables are on a 3-season veranda, so it feels very secret as you visit friends. Would definitely stop it again!

This place was excellent and adorable. Possibly the best bisquit I have ever had. The gift shop has some cute stuff and a lot of teas.

Excellent breakfast menu with unique, delicious, homemade entrees. Lovely garden atmosphere. Friendly attentive service.
