Thai Again - Magnetic Island

First night on the island and being a Sunday nite not much open that was close by. The chicken sartees were large and the peanut sauce very tasty however the chicken was dry. The masaman curry had a funny taste like the meat and potatoes had not been cooked in the sauce at all but added at the end. Certainly not a delicious meal evident by the fact that we left half uneaten. Staff were nice.

Is it possible to give a worse rating than "Terrible"?I see this place has actually had some positive reviews. I can not understand this at all. Maybe reviews from people that have never actually tried Thai food before?After multiple trips to Thailand and eating Thai takeaways pretty much every week, I can honestly say this the worst Thai food I have ever tasted!We ordered a Pad Thai, Chicken Chili Basil and Chicken Cashew Nut.We asked for "medium" heat on the two chicken dishes, but there was absolutely no taste of chili in the food at all (Yes, even the Chicken Chili Basil).I can't understand how they can get away with calling themselves a "Thai" restaurant when none of the food actually tasted like Thai food at all!It wasn't just bland beyond belief, it was sickly sweet (like they doubled up on sugar instead of using any salt) and just plain weird tasting - kinda like a really really bad attempt at some sort of rest home stir fry.Also, as a quite a few of the other reviews have mentioned the service was appalling.The guy running the show appeared to be super stressed out even though the restaurant was maybe half full.For anyone considering trying this place, DON'T! JUST DON'T!There are many other, much better restaurants options available on Magnetic Island.

Whilst visiting the Island, we have dined at this restaurant several times over the last year.The food is excellent and the service at the restaurant is excellent. We have tried several dishes, but our favourite is the Chilli Prawn dish. It is not too spicy, as the food served at this restaurant has more the northern Thai flavours.It is a BYO and corkage is a gold coin donation, which is great and makes for a very reasonable night out.Well done, Thai Again.

Standard fare with regards to thai menu but wait staff were very friendly and efficient. food was tasty and quick to the table. i would eat here again. restaurant clean and fresh.

We ate here twice on our recent visit to Magnetic Island, and were thrilled with the fresh ingredients, great flavours and lovely presentation
