Cedric Corre Patisserie

We had delicious pies, awesome macaroons and wished there had been room for more. Cedrics is a hidden away gem and once you taste the pastries you are transported to Paris.

I dropped in for a takeaway pie but stayed for a coffee and left with a collection of deserts. Pie was delicious- beef and burgundy- superb flavour and packed full of tender high quality steak, best macaroons I have ever eating - thin crisp outer shell with a moist tender centre and wonderful flavour, not too sweet. Lastly the fruit flan made with fresh fruit and cooked to perfection. A great find in Townsville with the food of a standard you would expect in a great Parisian patisserie.

I occasionally go out of my way to get a pie from Cedric's, and it is worth it everytime. The menu is a little bit variable, but I have never been left disappointed.

People will quite often tell you where the best pie is in town. I've eaten pies from Hobart to Cooktown. It wasn't until I bought a chicken, leek, cream and jalapeno pie from Cedric Corre Patisserie that I really sat up and took notice. Halfway through eating it at home, I was googling his phone number. I called and told him I didn't know if it was the best pie in Australia, but it was certainly the best one I had ever eaten.It was so absolutely flavoursome (the jalapeno is very mild) and full of chunks of real chicken. I have frequented once or twice a week for the past few months to sample shredded burgundy beef and onion with a creamy potato mash sauce, beef with blue cheese and potato, chicken with a creamy mustard sauce and quite a few I can't remember. He does have plain beef, which are a cut above most others in Townsville, but where he really shines is in his gourmet pies. He is also a maestro with french pastries, of which I have partaken quite a few times, but I'm really a pie type of man, a gourmet pie type of man now I have found this place.

Cedric makes the best pies, cakes and pastry in Townsville - no doubt about it! This little shop doesn't look like much for the outside but the food is amazing. He makes everything on site , including the delicious pie fillings.
