La Carreta Mexican - Madison Heights

I have never, NEVER been disappointed by a La Carreta 's!! Their food is always perfect and the portions are like visiting my grandmother 's house--every time! Also, I don 't usually like standard margarita 's, but theirs just tastes.....amazing! Ordered it with no salt, which was perfect. I could taste every little bit of lime they used to make it. Finally, on my way out, had to use the restroom. Asked one of the servers where it was and he told me KFC ... There 's a KFC next door.

Best Mexican food around!! The staff is always friendly and energetic. You always feel like family. I recommend the Steak-Fajitas. Great price for a great amount of food!!

La Carreta is a local favorite for a reason! From childhood to adulthood, LaCa was in a heavy regular rotation for me... and many others! While I no longer live in the area when I come to the city, I always make sure to eat in one of the farms in Amherst or Lynchburg. Food is delicious, service is fast and prices reasonable. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood:

The food was good, drinks were good too. I wish they had given us a table for the party of seven. Server was not very attentive, but food was delicious.

This La Carreta made Mexican food before Mexican food was cool. All the La is the original. I've been eating here for 30 years, always fast friendly service.
