Trattoria Il Cafone - Lyndhurst

LOVE this place. I can't believe I lived in town all my life and I have never been here before. I've dined here several times now and everything I have gotten is good. BYOB and the prices are good. Staff is friendly and accommodating too! This is my new go to spot for sure!

This was my first visit to Trattoria ll Cafone and I chose it to host the end of the season dinner for my Varsity Swimming team. Juan was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. I brought a group of 30 students for the dinner and the restaurant's charming interior and convenient parking in the back were definite highlights. We enjoyed a delicious 4 course meal with options for the students to choose from. The service was outstanding, with each course being served promptly. The attention to detail was also impressive - the staff even noticed that the swimmers had brought me flowers and provided a vase with water for them. I will definitely be returning for another meal and have already informed Juan that this will be our go-to spot for our annual Swim dinner. Thank you for making hosting this party so easy and enjoyable!

I have been all over the world and the food here is by far the best authentic Italian food I have ever experienced. Also the staff was beyond welcoming and professional. I strongly recommend this amazing Italian restaurant to anyone in the area.

The food was not Italian. It was really awful. We had clams oregenate- tasteless and my past sauce was just awful. It tasted like paste. I would never come back. Should have gone to Nutley!
