Bbq Caboose Cafe

Simple BBQ done, right. Nothing Fancy Not over the top Just simplicity and perfected it. Inside is like a Mini museum. My father retired from the Burlington Northern R.R. and spent time as a Caboose conductor. Loved the establishment.

No happy with our call in order with being local. Did not get what we ordered first time pick up. My son asked before leaving if that was everything we ordered in bag and even stated that there was no pork plate and she said yes the whole order there ?.. To find out afterwards the pork plate was not in bag and had to go back and get it. At least we are local and not out of town to find out our order isn’t complete. We have not ate here in a couple years so with that being said after me ordering today.nope

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Finally found a BBQ restaurant that has flavor. Love it!

Went to the famous Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg Tennessee yesterday and while we were waiting for our tour, we decided we’d grab a bite to eat in the cute little downtown Square of Lynchburg Tennessee. Dining choices are pretty limited there in the Lynchburg Square so we settled on the barbecue caboose café. The café is cute. TBH it could use a facelift you think with all the money coming into the Lynchburg area these businesses could afford to update their atmosphere but that’s just a observation. The weight staff is super friendly and helpful barbecue menu. I ordered the hot mess. I was a little disappointed in the portion size. The flavor was OK other members of my party ordered the piggy Mac, which, was a huge portion but I told was not creamy like the menu described, and the jambalaya, which was spicy. Price averaged out to about 9 bucks a person. And I’ll say, we all left pretty full.

They were rude and also had such a problem the only good part about my experience was one waiter that want even mine she was the only one who gave me a refill and was so nice her name was Jesse didn't get her last but she took care of me and she wasn't even my WAITER.
