The Garden Grille - Lusby

This restaurant at the Hilton Garden Inn is a hidden gem. It seems that the locals of Southern Maryland are unaware that the Hilton offers dining options. Whenever I visit, the place is nearly empty, which I actually appreciate. I receive excellent service and have the luxury of choosing my preferred table. It’s conveniently located across the parking lot from the Ruddy Duck, so even if the parking lot appears busy, there are usually not many diners at the Hilton. They serve a delicious brunch on weekends, and Tuesdays are taco night, featuring all-you-can-eat tacos for just $7 or $0.75 each if you prefer to order individually. Plus, the drink prices are very reasonable.

The food is excellent, and the staff is attentive and friendly. The happy hour is fantastic, featuring $2 domestic beers.

The hotel features clean and comfortable beds, a delicious breakfast, and a fantastic location in a beautiful area. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are new and quiet, offering great amenities. The lobby is nicely decorated, and there's convenient access to grab-and-go food options. Plus, it's located close to the historic area of Solomon's Island.

1) There was no air conditioning in the hallways on the second and third floors, and it happened to be quite hot that weekend. Although there were several fans on each floor, the hallways felt uncomfortably warm. 2) We had to move from our first room due to an ant problem. Our second room had fewer ants, but they were still present. Other family members faced the same issue as well. 3) Contrary to what the hotel’s review suggests, parking is not free. There was a large sign at the front desk indicating a $4.10 per day "parking recapture fee." As for breakfast, it was the standard hotel buffet, but there were some made-to-order items available, such as omelets. However, since there was only one cook, if you’re in a large group, expect a wait for those dishes. While we enjoyed spending time with family and the area was pleasant, we will not choose to stay at this hotel again.

This was the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. There was construction happening throughout the hotel, and the dining room was closed—none of this was mentioned on their website when we made our reservation. We had booked a king bed but were given a queen instead. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with duct tape holding it together in some areas. The room had a terrible smell, a mix of smoke and mildew. We couldn't switch rooms because of the ongoing construction. Our reservation included breakfast, but we never received a refund for that. Management was unhelpful and seemed indifferent to our concerns!
