Mama Valentes Italian - Ludlow

Beautiful pub/restaurant next to the river and view of the roofs of Ludlow. Friendly, helpful and very professional staff. Many people who eat in the pub in the evening ate there, but we had an excellent service and were not waiting for everything. They put a table for us because we had a dog with us that was not allowed in the main restaurant. We had an excellent meal. My husband said the cheese soap he had as an appetizer was the best he ever had, but the whole food was delicious. You probably need to book if you don't want to be disappointed as it has to do.

I read more about this restaurant in the Estrella Top 50 Gastropub Awards, and it certainly lived up to the hype. We were seated at a lovely table in the bar area with a beautiful view of the river. The food and service were exceptional. The staff was very friendly and highly competent. All three of us were thrilled with our choices. The Fish and Chips was among the best I've ever had. I was truly impressed during my visit. I can’t wait to return the next time we're in this area.

We had dinner at the restaurant, and the burger was incredible—hands down the best I've ever had. The fresh meat was absolutely delicious. My partner ordered the fish and chips, and it was also very tasty. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return. Additionally, there’s a beautiful view from the roof.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a stunning view of the river and the castle. Although we didn’t dine there this time, the menu looked impressive and is based on seasonal ingredients. However, we encountered a bit of a downside—the staff appeared quite withdrawn when we requested to see the menu. It seemed like our presence made them uneasy, especially since the restaurant was empty at the time. We had considered making a group booking due to their good reputation for food, but the staff's demeanor has prompted us to explore other options.

Had Sunday lunch here and was not disappointed. We sat in the conservatory overlooking the river, nice and warm on a cold day. Food and drink were good and service excellent. Hard to fault anything.
