Yianni's Taverna - Lower Saucon

Yianni's is one of my favorite restaurants ever! First, the setting is such a great ambiance, you feel like you're in Greece haha. The service from the hosts, bartenders, servers, and bussers is wonderful. Next, the food is amazing! I love the Greek gyro, the Pork Chop entre and roasted chicken entre is amazing as well! I had the lamb chops, very delicious. Getting the flaming cheese is a MUST. Great apps like the grape leaves, spinikopia, and the greek salad is tasty! The owner Maria came out and said hello and was extremely nice and generous. The desserts were delicious!

Nice Greek restaurant...food was good. They have many Greek dishes...nice atmosphere good service... UPDATE: Still the same...many Greek options to choose from... very good!!

We had dinner at Yianni's Taverna last night. The food and service was excellent. My wife and I don't eat much, so we shared everything. Our meal started with the Taverna Chips, thinly sliced and fried crispy zucchini and eggplant chips served with skordalia, a delicious light and fluffy dip that features the flavors of garlic, lemon and olive oil. Our next course was a whole European sea bass, grilled, and served with sautéed spinach and lemon potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly and the bones were expertly removed before it was served. The finely textured, flaky fish was lean, with a sweet and mild flavor. We enjoyed a bottle of a Greek white wine (sadly I do not remember the name) that complimented the meal perfectly. For dessert I had baklava; chopped walnuts with cinnamon and syrup between crispy layers of phyllo. My wife had lemon cake which was a moist cake with a pronounced lemon flavor. A very fine meal!

Love this place for Happy Hour. Good food,nice drinks,friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere! We go there often.
