Black Fork Bistro - LOUDONVILLE

I’m so glad that someone mentioned this place to me. We stopped here for a light lunch between hikes at Mohican. The bacon avocado wrap and fries were delicious and the staff was very friendly. We split one meal and they brought it out already separated on two plates, I always think that is a nice touch. I can’t order cheese curds anywhere else after trying the Black Fork Bistro’s! Parking: Paid street parking. If there was an event going on it is probably difficult to find a parking spot. The restaurant had a pepper grinder, a salt grinder, and when I asked for some parmesan for my wild mushroom pasta, they offered shaved parmesan and asked if that would be okay. It was perfect! The service, atmosphere, and food were all top-notch. Overall rating: 5 stars. Service: 5 stars. Atmosphere: 5 stars. Price range: $10-$20 per person for dinner.

The tater tots were excellent!!! I highly recommend them. The food was very good. The service was average, as expected for a busy restaurant in a small town. Overall, I would give it a 4 out of 5 for service. The atmosphere was also great, I would give it a 5 out of 5. I recommend trying the Loaded Tots. The price per person for dinner was $20-30.

I must say that this was truly some of the best restaurant food I have had in a while. We ordered the loaded tots, and even though it may seem ordinary, they were exceptional. The tots were large, perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and topped with sour cream, bacon, and chives. The flavors were amazing. My wife and I were disappointed that we couldn't finish them all because we were so full. I had the Reuben sandwich, which was outstanding. The meat was sliced thinly and cooked perfectly, melting in my mouth with each bite. It was too messy to pick up as a sandwich, but I didn't mind because it was delicious. My wife enjoyed her Turkey Bacon sandwich as well, but she couldn't finish it due to being so full from the tots. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely return next camping season, and we will be dreaming of those tots throughout the long Ohio winter. We may not be able to wait that long and might have to make the 90-minute drive just for the meal. Thank you, and we look forward to visiting again next year - or maybe even tomorrow.
