The lavender latte was one of the best ones I've had. The lavender was so strong and tasty. All of the employees were very sweet. Chill vibe. They have a little outdoor patio on the side. Parking on the street. Went back the following week, unfortunately they didn't have the sesame pretzel croissant, but the almond croissant was equally delish! Definitely will make this spot my regular.
The iced lattes they craft here particularly with chicory and cocoa (and garnished with orange peel, like a cocktail) are exquisite. They seem smaller in ounces, yet, drinking them it 's immediately evident that there 's a masterful quality to them. They blend cold coffee with sophisticated, complementary flavors. One of my regular Sunday treats is their iced latte, and there are 3 4 blends to select from (lavendar is not my favorite).I 've had their open faced, loaded toast with ricotta, peaches, prosciutto and garnished with crushed pistachios and chili oil. A delectable combination, which is also pleasing to the eye. It was superbly crafted (although I don 't buy meat products usually). I got sticker shock at $13 but I guess that is the going rate.... I recreated this at home, sans the prosciutto, and it 's become one of my favorite things to share with friends. I enjoy their clear no nonsense ordering protocol at the outdoor counter which avoids inevitable crowding in their tiny storefront. And why not? They 're one of the few places with continuous mature tree shade along the 'stroad ' (fast moving cars, so not a quiet street). The ficus trees, while hacked by the City bureacracy in favor of electricity lines, are still standing. The outside benches built around a tree trunk are easy crowdsharing venues, while the sidewalk is not interspersed with heartwrenching destitution as any spot in Hollywood would be. Also available a designated patio seating area set back from the street.Just be aware that a lot of customers ' kids touch their water spigot so I am not sure how sanitary their water can be. Yet still, northeast LA 's finest representation for sophisticated coffee.
Best coffee on the Eastside, and the Avo Smash never disappointsFood: 5/5
It's a little hole in the wall on a noisy and dirty high traffic street with cars zooming by, no parking lot and almost zero street parking. Coffee was okay, but definitely not worth the inflated price. Not a good experience!
Cute, Australian owned cafe hidden on Verdugo! Their coffee quality is amazing strong, bold, and rich.I had their cappuccino with soy milk iced, and was impressed by how good their coffee was. A bit pricey but high quality.Didn't get any of their food, but their menu has a nice little selection. Add vegemite to any toast for an extra charge (jaffles). Very Aussie.Other notes: Alt milk is $0.50 extra No indoor seating Payment by card and mobile pay only Limited outdoor seating No bathroom Street parking only
