Umami Burger - Arts District

Great burger and great place for happy hour. beautiful place to relax after work.

We went for the free burger reservations before the time. we sat fast; waitress was super nice eating was perfect. thanks for the promotion free is always a plus. also, no gimmicks only wonderful food service.

Burgers were not as good as last year (different location)

Actually we cancelled our reservation at the Arts District Umami and went to the Broadway LADT one. Closer driving. We had a great time. I had wanted to eat an Umami burger since the first raves a decade or so ago. Well, finally. The place was hi/cool; we were the oldest people in there by about 50 years. We went for Happy Hour which is a really good value, and had a great cocktail by the name of Broken Branch. We also had the HH tempura asparagus--delicious. We chose a Throwback Umami burger and liked it, plus the price was right. Our server Cristian was very helpful to us as we attempted to select a cocktail and a burger ! I wish we had a Umami burger in San Diego.

The food is okay, definitely overpriced for what you get. Meat is unseasoned and they try to compensate by going heavy on sauce.
