The Stalking Horse Brewery Freehouse

Firstly, I didn't need a reservation. Open table gave me one, but It's a gastropub type place, and lots of seats, though by the time we left it had filled up most of the way. Nice decor, a lot of wood and a large mural of a fox hunt or some such scene, very british. The pies and pasties were quite nice though everything arrived to the table very hot. Better than cold, and I enjoyed my beer so not a heavy criticism for me. We went on a Thursday, I assume weekends are much more crowded. They had tvs but plenty of seats where you could avoid them completely if you so desired. So I enjoy small batch beer and really liked the beer here. If I lived in the neighborhood, it would fit as my go to for a pint. Unfortunately, I'm not in the neighborhood, but it will be on my radar when I'm over that way.

I'm a regular at the stalking horse, but only go late in the evening..... Went for lunch with the family on Mother's Day and had a great experience all around.

Poor service. very cold and impersonal interactions with the personal, they do not serve water at the bar when they ask, no one asks whether they need anything else and it is difficult to name the personal. eating is under the average and the beer is decent.

Shout to crisi, because we take care of us when we went! she waited to bring us our deep roasted oreos until after we were finished eating because it is better to eat them nice and hot. great suggestion from her, so young, let her eat your deep fried oreos when you have eaten your hot dogs! btw, that patty dog was amazing! since 2015 we come here and never disappointed.

Jennifer Yeko review is incorrect. There are plenty of heaters. Plus, if it’s cool, then either go into bar area or bring a jacket. My 2-years of experience is that staff is always helpful, attentive, friendly, and willing to make anything right. The app is made for you to choose whether to keep tab open or to close it. If you keep it open, no need to tip until closing the tab. The tip can be zero or anything you choose. Very easy. Very flexible.Great location to meet friends, to watch sports on tv, to bring your well-behaved dog, or just grab a quick beer for yourself. Great beer selection rotating AND great, full bar.
