On Friday night here a night. the parking lot is a little small, but we found a place right next to the entrance. we were warmly welcomed and when we went to the house we found a wonderful live piano music! everything is hidden in authentic German decoration, and the place is huge. there are two flats, the stairs with the inside seat, and the upper floor, which has the outside bar on the dach, a small inner dining corner, a small inner bar with a few chairs, the bathrooms and a zigarette machine that I must say is likely what makes this one of the most authentic German spots in la. the menu is comprehensive and eating is great! we came for a drink, but ended up with the split-up soup, which was thrilled with the brot with which it came. this place is a bit from the west side, but we always try to come here when we are somewhere close.

The service,food, and ambiance is rocking! I've been going there since 1990 and even though ownership has changed a few times things have been consistent. Stop by and check it out for yourself I think you will enjoy yourself.

The outdoor patio(government mandated health segregation) was a delight for the afternoon while the service was above and beyond. The food was delicious! My only issue is the men’s bathroom which is need of a power washer! So thankful this place survived the bs pandemic restrictions. ?????

Great atmosphere. great German beer selection with half and full book. have the sausage plate, large portion, three different sausages, all really delicious.
