Pok Pok La - Los Angeles

Excellent food and service but items are a bit pricey. It was also a bit too dark making it difficult to look at menu with ease, especially with the wordy menu. Had to whip out the cell phone for additional light to see what was available and I wasn't the only one in the restaurant to do so either. The music was also a bit too loud making it hard to hear the conversation with my friend who was seated right next to me.

So sad to see Pok Pok close in LA, but more of an excuse to go back to Portland! The food was amazing, but we ordered too much (not a bad thing! and the gin apple drinking vinegar beverage was really delicious.

Too bad it is closing. They might have succeeded in another neighborhood.

The food was amazing, but the service was AWFUL. My friends and I ordered about seven dishes total and they literally forgot to bring three of them because they were either delivered to the wrong table or they just forgot entirely. It was kind of crazy. We also had expediters try to deliver the wrong food to our table at least three times and I heard them do the same thing to other tables too. Our waitress told us that they have only been open for a year and they're still working things out. One year seems like a long time to be working things out.
