I ordered the vegan chiles rellenos. It was not fried, a bit soggy, and the cream and corn filling was under-seasoned. The rice and beans on the side had no flavor. The margarita was not sweet and tasted more like flavored ice with alcohol. The mushroom tacos were okay, but the guacamole was fantastic. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth a visit.
I ordered the mushroom taco, vegan elote, sweet plantains, and hibiscus lemonade, and they were all delicious! My friend, who is not vegan, enjoyed the chicken tinga tacos. Their guacamole is also fantastic. If you're looking for vegan Mexican food in LA, definitely give this place a try!
I ordered the vegan chile relleno dish, which was not fried and had a soggy texture. The cream and maize inside were underseasoned, and the tears and buzz on the side lacked flavor. The margarita was not sweet and tasted like flavored ice water. However, the mushroom tacos were delicious and the guacamole was amazing. Overall, the meal was not worth it.
I had high expectations due to the extensive vegan options on the menu, but unfortunately, I was let down. The poblano corn dip was flavorless and I was not a fan of the vegan sour cream. The vegan chile relleno was also disappointing, as it was overpowered by too much dill. I may return for drinks and appetizers with friends in the future, as the salsa was tasty, but overall, it's not a place I would go out of my way to visit again.
