Paco's Tacos Cantina La - Los Angeles

Just minutes from LAX, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Mexican cuisine. They offer a variety of dishes from several regions, including Mazatlan, Mezcal, Cancun, Acapulco, and Puerto Vallarta, to name a few.

The food here is delicious, but I find it a bit overpriced, which seems to be the trend with many restaurants these days. However, my main issue is with the host at the door. He consistently makes me feel uncomfortable, and just last week, he made my son feel awkward while he waited for me because he wouldn’t seat him without me being there, even though we are regular customers. I also have a service dog that I bring with me almost every time, and each time, the host gives me a hard time about it. I'm not sure if he understands that it's against the law to discriminate against someone with a service dog. I prefer to avoid attention, and this situation makes me very anxious. As a result, I'm not sure I'll be able to eat here anymore, especially since my son is now uncomfortable too. On a positive note, the waitstaff is fantastic. There's one waiter in particular, an older gentleman with salt-and-pepper hair, who always makes us feel welcome and at ease.

Paco's offers delicious food, freshly made tortillas, and a dedicated staff that has been with the restaurant for a long time, which speaks volumes. Their margaritas are fantastic. Update: it's still amazing. A beloved staple in the neighborhood.

Great food and atmosphere! Be warned: they close at 7:45 on most weekdays days… before half of Los Angeles eats dinner. I don’t understand what management is thinking but that’s less money for them I guess. I’d dine there much more often but typically eat dinner at the “extremely late” hour of 8 o’clock (I hope you can read my sarcasm, Paco’s management).
